"The purpose of art in all its forms is to make life real, to remove everything that gets in the way, and to help us live". By Mark Nepo
Welcome
My name is Karina Hatcher
I’m a multi-disciplinary artist with a background in Fine Arts, Creative Writing, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Mindful movement.
Working in the film industry helped hone my storytelling skills, which inspire and are the core of everything I do: my visual art pieces, the short stories I write, my community work through the healing arts and literacy advocacy.
The arts empower us because they heal, they help us connect with strength, compassion, and dignity. Through my artwork and the art-based programs I offer, I hope to inspire YOU and others to protect and embrace our common humanity, creating and re-creating narratives: one memory, one story at a time.
